Prairie Shores Company began manufacturing custom flooring for retailers in 1994 using wood reclaimed from old buildings located in the United States and Canada. While that is still a part of our business we also began manufacturing from timber that has been recently harvested under strict environmentally friendly conditions. Some of the species that we mill are red oak, white oak, ash, maple, birch, cherry, walnut and many exotic woods.
We’ve claimed our niche in the market due to our ability to mill custom widths, stain with custom colors and provide a quick turn around at prices that are comparable or lower than production run product. The finish we apply contains the same aluminum oxide if requested that you will find with many of the high quality large manufacturers.
